Nimbus Solar partnered with Garland to deliver a 97.2kWp solar PV installation at Dunraven School in South London. As an operational school, minimising disruption to students and staff was a key requirement. The main installation works needed to be completed within the two week half-term period, providing a tight programme for the Nimbus Solar team.

To meet Toolbank’s requirements, the Nimbus Solar team designed and installed an 88.2kWp commercial rooftop solar PV system, carefully engineered to maximise energy production and return on investment.
216 DMEGC 450W Glass-Glass Solar Panels: High-performance modules selected for efficiency, durability and long-term performance, backed by a 25-year product warranty and 30-year performance warranty.
SolarEdge Inverter Technology: SolarEdge inverters were installed alongside panel-level power optimisation, providing efficient energy conversion and detailed system monitoring.
SolarEdge Safety Technology: The system incorporates SolarEdge power optimisers and a Firefighter Gateway, providing enhanced safety functionality and the ability to reduce DC voltage at module level when required.
129 SolarEdge Power Optimisers: Panel-level optimisation helps maximise generation across the school’s multiple roof areas and differing panel orientations.
Van der Valk Mounting System: A robust Van der Valk flat roof mounting solution was used to securely install the solar array across the school’s roof areas.
Metal Cable Clips & Containment: Metal cable clips and dedicated cable containment were used throughout the installation to provide secure, durable cable management and a professional finish across the rooftop system.
